I grew up in the middle of cornfields in Indiana, constantly entertaining myself by making things and reading. I was organizing before I knew what that meant—I started and published a community newspaper in the second grade and organized a multi-year backyard carnival to raise money for hurricane relief at 10 years old. My most-used words were "I'm so excited."

Now, I do work as a geographer, artist, designer, photographer, organizer, quilter, and potter based in Oklahoma City. My work is mostly about memory and place, exploring carceral geographies, death, institutional power, identity, collectivism, cultural memory and belonging, and the land. I am usually dancing, reading, or gardening. My most-used words are still "I'm so excited."
